Beach volleyball is back this summer at the all new Bradford Beach. And what is all new? Let’s start with our new partners from SURG Restaurant Group and their commitment to restore the beach house, new bathrooms, new concessions, three new tiki huts, external foot washes, new menu and much more. The experience at the beach will be enhanced for everyone.
For our junior level beach volleyball players, Bradford Beach will offer several opportunities to learn the game, play weekly matches through the Bradford Beach Junior Beach Volleyball Development Program and two regional and national level tournaments.
Bradford Beach will be hosting the US Open Junior Beach Volleyball National Championships on July 28th and 29th. The top junior beach volleyball players from across the country will travel to Milwaukee and Bradford Beach to compete for who is the future star of United States beach volleyball.
Bradford Beach has once again partnered with USA Volleyball’s Badger Region Volleyball Association to host the Badger Region Junior Beach Volleyball Championships on June 17th. Many of the top junior beach players from across the state of Wisconsin will be competing to represent the Badger Region and Bradford Beach at the US Junior National Championships in July.

JUNIOR BEACH VOLLEYBALL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM:
The development program is a 7 week course for boys and girls junior players from ages 12 to 18 starting June 4th though July 23rd. The program will teach all players the base fundamentals of 2-on-2 beach volleyball. The new adjustments to the program will feature a weekly 90 minute course where players will spend approximately half the time work on base skills and fundamentals and the second half competing in arrange matches.
All players will be instructed by experienced adult beach volleyball players headed by Gary Tome and Todd Gawronski.
The cost of the program is $100.00/player. All players must register individually. All players will need to be current members of Volley America, which provides player insurance. The cost for Volley America is $15/year and can be purchased at volleyamerica.com.
Players are not required to have played on their middle school, high school team or a club program. But it is strongly encouraged that all players have some prior volleyball experience prior to registering for the program. It is not necessary to register with a partner for this league. If your son or daughter has a partner, please list the player’s partner on the online register form.
HOW TO REGISTER:
To register for the development program, registration opens April 1st and will close on May 25th at bradfordbeachjam.com/sports_leagues.html. 10% of all fees are returned as a contribution to Milwaukee County Parks.
VOLLEY AMERICA MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT:
All registered junior players will be required to be current members of Volley America. The cost is $15 and includes player insurance, sponsor prizes and national player ranking. To register for a player membership, please visit volleyamerica.com.
TOURNAMENTS:
Bradford Beach will be hosting two major junior 2-on-2 beach volleyball tournaments for boys and girls junior players between the ages of 12 and 18.

July 28th-29th: US Open Junior Beach Volleyball National Championships
Divisions: Boys Junior 2’s age groups of 12, 14, 16, 18.
Girls Junior 2’s age groups of 12, 14, 16, 18.
